Missionaries

While we believe that every member is a missionary, Red Hill is proud to sponsor several vocational missionaries who serve locally and globally. Each of our missionaries is personally known by our congregation and has been sent out into the world to share God's love in their own unique way.

  • craig Harriman

Craig has given leadership to the Athletes In Action Swimming ministry since 1979 — a natural fit since he swam and played water polo in high school, played water polo at UC Davis and coached high school swimming for over 15 years. He currently ministers to aquatic athletes and coaches on high school and college campuses around the country and leads chapel services and outreaches at major national and international competitions.

  • cullan maher

Since graduating from California Baptist University, Cullan has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Volleyball community and had an opportunity to serve as an intern in Northern Ireland for seven months with Salt Factory Sports in 2013 and with Athletes in Action in Costa Rica in 2014. He currently serves as the North Orange County rep with FCA.

  • barto & Tenielle Yelkouni

Red Hill met Tenielle Yelkouni (Lytle) through her work with the City of Angels Orphanage. In 2015, Tenielle married Barto Yelkouni and they now have a four-month old daughter, Briella. The Yelkouni’s have recently moved to Nebraska and formed “Loved by God Ministries” in preparation of moving to Burkina Faso, West Africa, where they plan to open an orphanage. In the meantime, Tenielle still helps with administrative work for City of Angels.

  • Paul & Ali Federwitz

Paul and Ali Federwitz have served as missionaries in Ghana, Africa with Lutheran Bible Translators since 2007. Paul serves as an Information Technology Consultant and Trainer, helping nation translators and staff use computers for their work, which dramatically reduces the amount of time that it takes to complete a translation. In addition to being a full-time wife and mother, Ali provides advice and encouragement to missionary families who are home schooling their children. Red Hill has sponsored these missionaries since they began their work in Africa eight years ago.

  • Matt & emily Terhune

Matt and Emily have been called to support Bible translation in Papua New Guinea. This country has more languages than anywhere else on earth, with over 300 languages still needing a translation project started. Papua New Guineans are eager to hear God’s Word in their own languages, but more resources and workers are needed. Technology has dramatically sped up the work of Bible translation, and computer support staff are crucial to the task of reaching remaining language groups with God's Word. As a Network Engineer at Ukarumpa translation center Matt will provide technical support for translation teams.
