Living the Christian life in this world is never easy—but always worth it! While some periods in Christian history were more volatile than others, the truth is that biblical, Christian faith, as well as the personal and social values that result from the Christian faith, will conflict with the dominant, cultural values of the current age. The Apostle Peter himself experienced the tensions, conflicts, and sufferings that came because of his relationship with Jesus Christ. Consequently, Peter writes to some churches in the provinces of Roman Asia Minor, encouraging them to hold on and stand strong—anchored to Jesus Christ!
