Wednesdays in the Word

"The Book of Hebrews"

Join us on Wednesday mornings at 7:15am in the Sanctuary, or via our livestream as we examine the person, work and power of Jesus Christ.

Beginning  December 6th, we begin a new verse-by-verse study in the Book of Hebrews. The

Book of Hebrews was originally a correspondence addressed primarily to Jewish converts to the Christian

faith, who were familiar with the Hebrew Scriptures (Our Old Testament) and who were being tempted to

revert to Judaism or to Judaize the gospel. Conversely, the author of Hebrews stresses the absolute supremacy of

Christ; Jesus is the final revelation of God’s salvific plan, as well as the mediator of God's grace.

Here are some the upcoming questions and we will be exploring:

…The relationship between the Old and New Testaments.

…Jesus as our “High Priest” interceding for us.

…What is the relationship between Jesus and the supernatural, Angelic world?

…How do we follow Jesus faithfully and with perseverance in our world today?

…What is the Jewish, sacrificial system and how does Jesus fulfill this “system?”

If your schedule permits, after the class, some of the participants head over to Spires Restaurant in Tustin for

breakfast and continuing conversation!

This study is open to men and women of all ages.

Bring your Bible (if you don’t have one, we’ll get one for you) or catch our livestream!

You can also watch the recorded sessions below on this page.
